Looks like Sonakshi Sinha’s Noor is off to a disappointing start! While Sona has been getting praise for portrayal of a goofy yet brave journalist in Sunhil Sippy’s movie, the movie by itself is not doing so great! BollywoodLife spoke to trade analyst Akshaye Rathi said that the Noor has opened to 20 to 30 per cent occupancy across the 1000 screens it was released today. Now, this is not such a great news for Sona. Apart from Noor, Raveena Tandon’s Maatr which released on the same day met with the same fate. Akshaye told the entertainment portal, ““The COP of each of the movies should be to the tune of Rs 10 crore. They are releasing in limited screens, so considering that Maatr releases in 500 odd screens and earns Rs 6-7 crore over the first weekend, it is relatively okay. Noor, on the other hand, should rake in around about Rs 9-10 crore over the first weekend, which is really good. They are very reasonably priced films, releasing in limited screens, so that’s how it is supposed to be.” Well, will you watch Noor this weekend despite the low numbers?
